Apple fruit filling for filled waffles
Ingredients
Apples (peeled and diced): 500 g: 500g
Sugar: 100g
Water: 200ml
Cornstarch: 20g (+40ml water)
Optional - Vanilla or cinnamon powder: 1 pinch
Compote preparation
Step 1
Peel the apples and cut them into small pieces.
Step 2
In a saucepan, add the apples, sugar and 200 ml of water.
Step 3
Cook over medium heat for about 8–10 minutes, depending on the desired texture.
Optional
Add a pinch of cinnamon or vanilla during cooking.
Achieving the perfect texture
In a bowl, mix the cornstarch with 40 ml of water.
Pour this mixture into the hot compote and bring to a high heat.
Stir constantly until the liquid thickens and the filling becomes compact and smooth.
