For over 40 years, AMPI has been a family-owned business from Liège, specializing in the manufacture of professional waffle irons and the sale of waffle ingredients.

Our waffle irons are designed for daily use, combining durability and quality to meet the needs of artisans and food professionals. Thanks to their reliability and performance, our products are exported worldwide: North and South America, Europe, Asia, Australia…

Our cast iron range allows you to make the most iconic Belgian waffles: Liège waffles, Brussels waffles, butter waffles (4/4), galettes, fruit-filled or savory waffles, and many more.

In addition, we offer a selection of high-quality essential ingredients: pearl sugar and waffle mixes (for Liège waffles, Brussels waffles, and filled waffles, both sweet and savory).

  • Foundation of the company.

    The company is founded by Marc Stassen. A few years later, AMPI move into a workshop and new offices on the rue de sclessin, Liège.

  • Export to France.

    The first export market to France.

  • Extension of the storage area.

  • First website

    Creation of the first website and participation in the first trade fair in Japan, which results in numerous sales.

  • The takeover of the company

    Sybille Stassen takes over the running of the company – Marc Stassen’s daughter.  

  • IEC/CB SCHEME Certification

    The company receives IEC/CB SCHEME EN 60335 Certification.

Marc Stassen (who founded the company in 1983) has always aimed to manufacture quality products and provide the best possible service to its customers. These values have been applied continuously since the day the company was formed.

Since 2009 (the date his daughter, Sybille Stassen, took over), AMPI has continued to grow, but remains a modestly-sized, artisan family business whose employees share the same values.
